I have always enjoyed meeting new people, and throughout my career path, I’ve had fruitful opportunities to help people plan for their financial goals.

Having worked in Banking sector for more than six years, I was interested to learn more about the various markets in Finance and later joined the industry in 2012. Not only did I learn about the various financial sectors, I got to work with different types of people in a competitive, yet team-oriented environment.

These experiences have shaped my expertise as well as my perspectives of the world of finance, and I’m more than ever dedicated to reach out to those who need assistance in their financial management, according to their conveniences. There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach in financial planning, every individual is unique in their personal life, needs and circumstances.

My passion for both helping others, and pursuing a career that is both challenging and rewarding, have always kept me grounded in my personal and professional life. I take pride in helping individuals to accomplish their goals, and caring for my clients and their families.

I believe that my personal traits, professional experiences, passion and hardworking attitude allow me to achieve a positive impact in my clients’ lives.

Long Term Care Planning
You must know that Singapore is among the fastest ageing countries in the world, and with this phenomenon comes many progressive health conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and so on. ElderShield, launched in 2002, is our national severe disability insurance scheme that provides basic financial protection to Singaporeans and Singapore PRs who require long-term care. Nevertheless, ElderShield only started to gain public awareness when it was highlighted during our National Day Rally in 2016.

Retirement Planning
Retirement planning is more than just developing a steady stream of income. It also requires planning for those uncertain events that threaten a secure retirement. Aging brings with it a variety of retirement risks including escalating healthcare expenses and possible long term care expenses. While these represent significant financial risks for aging retirees, there is another risk, one often misunderstood and overlooked – frailty risk, which can pack a powerful punch to the security of your retirement plan. With that said, retirement and long term care planning have always been intended to go hand-in-hand. You can even say that a retirement plan is incomplete without it.

Protection Planning
This is the most fundamental aspect of financial planning for you and your family. Almost everyone is familiar with the term, ‘insurance’. We are all covered under some form of insurance. In case you are not aware, we (Singaporeans and Singapore PRs) are covered under the MediShield Life scheme. Apart from this, I believe many would have purchased their own health and/or life insurance policies. But let’s stop to think, “When things get critical, how healthy is your insurance and/or life policy? In other words, how comprehensive are your health and life insurance protection coverage?

If you are not able to answer these questions, then you will need to look back at your policies, and look at ways to maximize your coverage for full protection. This may seem like a hurdle to cross, but there is no need to be alarmed. I will be more than happy to guide you according to your current abilities and convenience, to build and protect your financial future. Whenever you need my advice, I am only a message away for a coffee and chat.

WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A FINANCIAL PLANNER IS…

The greatest satisfaction in my career comes from helping clients to understand what stops them from achieving their financial dreams and getting them back in the right direction of seeing the importance of practising healthy financial planning. Nothing is more heartwarming than hearing how my service has helped my clients to, for instance, buy a house, save for their kids’ education, start a new business, travel around the world, and to afford an early retirement.

This is how I get my “kicks” and what fuels my passion; the realization that I play an important role in someone else’s life to help them realize their goals and fullest potential.

IF I CAN ONLY GIVE ONE PIECE OF FINANCIAL ADVICE, IT IS

Financial planning is for everyone, and not just something that is reserved only for the wealthy. There is always a solution for everyone regardless of their financial abilities. It is never too early to start building your financial stability for your future.

There is one golden rule to keep in mind: you reap what you sows. Sow the seeds of planning and you will reap the fruits of financial success.
