Something About Me…
I entered the financial services industry in 2008 as a Relationship Manager with a local bank helping banking customers with their financial needs. I am a natural organiser – always putting events together for family, friends and colleagues to get together and have a good time.
This love of helping people get things organised is what I’ve brought into my work as a financial planner. It motivates me to plan for others by finding the best strategies for their financial protection and retirement. I see my work as the “Chief Financial Officer” of my clients by helping them to manage their critical financial numbers.
I Specialize In…
Planning for people who are right in the middle of building their family and career. Spare time is almost always a luxury and they need someone they can trust to help them in their important financial decision making. I focus on looking at potential financial blind spots and provide solution to cover these blind spots.
A particular niche area in financial planning that I focus on as well is insurance protection for people on long term visit pass. I started helping this particular group when I was first referred to someone looking to insure his parents who are visiting for the long term and I realised that this is an area that not many people have the knowledge on how to plan.
What I Like Most About Being A Financial Planner Is…
When I feel that my clients trusts me. It’s not something that can be defined clearly but both the client and myself seems to reach that point where we see each other as beyond just a working or business relationship.
This responsibility given is something I never take for granted.
If I Can Only Give One Piece Of Financial Advice, It Is…
Knowing what you really want and plan to make it happen. Luck is not a dependable strategy.
My Most Treasured Memory At Work…
Getting Chinese New Year goodies like “Ba Kwa” from my client during the festive season. It feels good to be recognised as one of the most important person in their life. Of course, I make sure that I give out my fair share of “Ba Kwas” as well!
